I'm all about feeding our kids the healthiest food we can, but kids need treats! I like to think that Lexi never feels deprived of sweet treats.
She gets very excited about making yummy snacks for her friends when she has play dates. These yummy cookies use just three ingredients and were very easy for Lexi to make herself. They're ideal for kids with allergies (as was the case with our visitor this week).
2 cups rolled oats
2 large bananas
1/4 cup cocoa powder
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (celsius).
In a power blender (or with a stick blender or coffee grinder) grind the oats until it is the consistency of flour.
Mash the bananas.
Mix all the ingredients until combined.
Place large dollops (about a tablespoon) on a lined cookie tray.
Bake for 10 minutes, until just set.
