This year I made a resolution not to buy any Christmas decorations. With a little creativity, Pinterest inspiration and some patience, I have managed to decorate my house almost entirely from upcycled materials.
My favourite item is the black Christmas tree. If you follow my Instagram stories you will have seen the black Christmas tree that I fell in love with at Lifestyle Garden Centre. It was really difficult for me to resist buying it. Instead I spray painted a small, inexpensive tree that I bought last year. Lexi was tasked with digging out all the silver baubles and decorating it. The finished result far exceeded my expectations and I am really glad I didn't unnecessarily spend money on a black tree.
Our wreath was literally falling apart. I wanted something a bit different and so Lexi made the star wreath (bottom right). I helped her glue popsicle sticks together. She then painted them white and glued on the fine little mossy branches that she found in our garden. What better than a kid made decoration?!
Which is your favourite?
